Float Switches - Bilge Pump
OverviewElectric float switches allow the bilge pump to be operated automatically when the bilge water reaches a set level. These basic switches provide simple ON/OFF operation of the pump by means of a float being lifted by the water level Select the right switch by checking voltage and amperage match that of the pump you want to operate Caged / cover versions offer protection to the float from getting wedged in the ON or OFF postions by debris floating around the bilge They can be remotely mounted from the pump. For increased safety and security consider fitting a digital field sensor bilge switch as these eliminate the float arm - they cannot seize in one position or get wedged or obstructed
